In the UK of the 21st century, most TV marketing and advertising campaigns have reached a level of sophistication that we take for granted. Watching a series of female-oriented advertisements last week, however, I began counting how many of them involved women in a state of undress. After researching the number of women in advertising and marketing jobs in the UK, however, this came as no surprise.

Neil French: Women in High-Level Advertising and Marketing Jobs

Last month advertising executive Neil French made a statement about women in advertising and marketing jobs. He inferred that not many attained high-level marketing and advertising careers because they left to have children.

There are very few women in the UK holding high-level marketing jobs and this is not due to a shortage of highly creative and market-focused female marketing and advertising professionals. In short, it is simply true that, in the case of advertising and marketing, the big jobs are still going to the boys.

Can Online Education Help Women Into Marketing Jobs?

Online Education is finally on the rise in the UK, with business and marketing MBAs at the forefront. Whether the flexibility made possible by online education is translated into the workplace -- and specifically marketing jobs, remains to be seen.
