Fire Destroys Wallace & Gromit 3D Animation Studio

All of the props and sets from the popular clay animation movies featuring characters Wallace and Gromit were destroyed in a fire on Oct. 10. Dubbed claymation, this 3D animation technique was perfected by the studio's owners Aardman Animations. Not only were 3D animation props and sets destroyed, but so were the priceless models, memorabilia and awards that the movies collected over their run in theaters. Sixty firefighters fought the blaze for hours, which resulted in the roof collapsing, destroying most of the studio's contents.
