Bush�s state of the union speech celebrated the creation of the government department of homeland security, thanking homeland security professionals for their increased roles. With no sign of a let-up in the second term, the number of homeland security certifications and online degrees in homeland security is sure to increase to meet the growing range of homeland security jobs.
Homeland Security is High on the Agenda
In 2003, the federal government, states, cities and the private sector spent more than $100 billion on homeland security initiatives. In his speech, President Bush indicated that this will increase, stating that the Bush administration�s �third responsibility to future generations is to leave them an America that is safe from danger, and protected by peace.�Homeland Security Certification or an Online Degree?
