Paralegal Leaves Career to Become Next Idol
Paralegal Amber Fleury has always loved singing. After pausing her musical interests to study and go to college, she has gotten back to her passion as a contestant on Canadian Idol.
Paralegal Returns to Musical Pursuits
Long before her paralegal career, Amber Fleury had already recorded her first CD at the age of thirteen, after winning a singing competition. At age ten, Fleury had been on Canadian national television. Her parents discovered her musical talents when she was just two years old, and Fleury was performing in front of audiences by the time that she was five. Getting into the Canadian Idol competition was simply a return to a passion that Fleury had long enjoyed.Paralegal Grounding
Fleury sang professionally for some time before stopping to pursue a paralegal career at a Calgary law firm. She was interested in paralegal work, and she decided to study and earn a college education. She has no regrets about pausing her musical ambitions, but with a degree and a foundation in a paralegal career, Fleury is enjoying the spotlight again.Hitting Her Notes
A big Celine Dion fan, Fleury has a lot of competition up ahead. She was amazed at how much energy and stamina it took to get through the Top 100, but she has also amazed the panel with her rendition of Bonnie Raitt's "I Can't Make You Love Me." As the competition progresses, the paralegal will have to study her music and bring that added spark to her performances to continue to impress the panel and viewers.Online University Paralegal Degree
Fleury's choice to go into a paralegal career is also a good choice in the U.S. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects that paralegal careers will grow faster than the average of all jobs, which translates to between 21% and 35% greater than the average. An online university degree is a great flexible choice to starting or furthering a paralegal career. Taking advantage of online paralegal study gives you the opportunity to earn a university degree without the commute or rigid time schedule. Whether you go for an online or campus university degree, paralegal study could give you something to sing about.Sources
