Terry Nichols admitted to obtaining the ammonium nitrate fertilizer and the rocket fuel that were used to make the bomb that killed thousands of men, women and children in the Oklahoma City bombing. HE claims that after obtaining the deadly mixture, he had no knowledge of what accomplice Timothy McVeigh planned to do with the ingredients.

Details of Nichols' Involvement:

  • Asperger's Syndrome. Nichols' mother maintains that her son suffers from this form of autism that allows people to take advantage of him and manipulate him to do their bidding.
  • Gun Dealer Robbery. Nichols acknowledged to federal law enforcement that he robbed gun dealer Roger Moore to help fund the attack and that he thought McVeigh planned to bomb the federal building.
  • Weapons Theft. Prosecutors say that Nichols stole an estimated $63,000 in weapons and other items from homes to help finance the terror plot.
  • Items Recovered. Based on Nichols' statement, a federal officer recovered a .50 caliber sniper rifle taken in the robbery.
